Our Process & Gallery
In stucco painting, we start with cleaning the surface of dust, dirt, and debris, which often includes power washing. We then, repair any cracks and holes before applying stucco. A layer of metal lath or wire mesh is affixed to the surface to create a stable base for the stucco. This mesh provides a framework for the stucco to adhere to and helps prevent cracks and other issues.
Then, the stucco is mixed: cement, sand, and water. After that, the painter applies three coats of stucco: the Scratch Coat, Brown Coat, and Finish Coat. Stucco needs time to cure and harden properly. This process can take several days, depending on the weather and the thickness of the stucco layers. Finally, After the stucco has dried, any additional finishes or textures are applied if required. Final inspection and it is done!
